toilet leak

Okay my awesome helpful RV folks -- I badly need your help. We recently had a problem with a leak in the bathroom -- which we chased down to the flushing mechanism that allows water into the toilet bowl. Replaced that, seemed like we'd solved the issue, then I noticed more dampness once we turned the water back on. Ben took the whole toilet off, and it appears that it's leaking in the back somewhere between where the toilet meets the pedestal and where the whole thing connects to the opening of the black tank. To compound the problem, a chunk of the particleboard flooring has rotted away (lord knows how long this leak has been going on) just behind where the hole in the floor is. Any advice on how to proceed? How to hunt down this leak? If it's probably just gaskets that need replaced or if we should search for another issue? And most importantly, the best way to address repairing this hole in the floor?

Danka!

It Leaks between the flush valve and the body of the toilet. Sometimes the flush valve does not fit very good and will leak. When this happens I was told by an RV repair shop that you would have to replace the toilet. With the cost of valve that hurts.
