Tanks labeled incorrectly.

Discovered that the tanks are labeled wrong on our 2011 FC19 today. Last dump station I was wondering why the sewage holding tank took so long to empty and why did it only have a 2" dump valve? while the the wastewater holding tank as labeled has a 3" dump valve. Makes no sense from a plumbing perspective since the toilet drain is always a 3" min drain line, so wheels started turning and sure enough from the Airstream schematic I was able to verify that the rear most tank and 3" drain is the Black water sewage tank and that my labels are not correct.
Not a huge discovery but is nice to know especially if your one of those who empties the black first followed by the grey.

Interesting.
English as a second language?

The giveaway is the grey tank usually has a grey handle while the black tank has a black handle.

I had the same issue on my rear bedroom. (The plumbing is reversed on a front vs a rear bedroom models.) The stickers peeled off easily and were re-applied correctly. JC also sent out some new stickers.

The mis-labeling of the valves has been a problem for some time....don't know if the problem has been corrected yet. Seems to happen at the final assembly lane at the factory. Go figure...the manufacturer of the valves even makes the grey tank valve grey and the black tank valve black, but Airstream is still able to mis-label them.....Regards, Bob

Was unaware of the handle color being diff, after wiping the road grime off I now see a slightly grey handle on what should be the grey tank.

I had a similar problem this week. The city came out to mark the utility lines for my new Airstream driveway.

They mislabeled the water and sewer. Not a big deal. Except I would have paved over the water shut-off valve which is 7 feet from where he said it was.

Our 2018 FC 25 also had the labels wrong. We got the correct labels at our warranty punch list visit with the dealer.

There have been a few reports of this issue, and based on your detailed description it does seem like your labels are switched.

(I have no clue what prompted the "English as a second language" comment before?)

I assumed it was my bad spelling/grammer.

That was me.
I was speculating that the person at the factory putting on labels might not be fluent in English. Labels are labels.

It was never intended for anyone here.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Ah.... that makes sense comment wise.

Can't imagine that would be the actual issue though. Regardless of what language you speak, it's pretty easy to identify a few words when they are part of your job. I think this was more likely a sleepy English-speaking American, than a non-English-speaking America, guest, or aspirant American.

I have a fancy degree in English and I write gallons a day. Your spelling and grammar is more than good enough for this forum (and most board rooms).
