T-Handle Installation?

Our black tank plastic handle has split and came off. OODM is sending me a kit to replace the T with handle attached.

Has anyone done this? Do we undo the nut to put it on and is the nut used with threads on both sides? Are do we just take off the extension that holds the handle?

Loosen the jam nut, then unscrew the t handle..... Simple as that. The only critical part is aligning the new handle with the wire keeper.
