Strange dump valve size?

I have an 04 Classic 25’, new to me and am attempting my first dump...
It came with a new Camco hose and a used Rhinoflex hose. Neither fit...
It did have an adapter “thetford” that will connect to the camper, it will also connect to the discharge side of the hose but seems a little large to slide into the hose with a clamp.

I went to camping world to try and get an adapter but they do t have what I need in stock.

Is an 04 an odd size or was mine adapted? And any suggestions on what next?

Thanks

Yes, the Thetford fitting seems a bit large. The hose will go on, but you will need to work at it.

Try dropping the end of the new hose in bucket of hot water.

Having owned both (and having rebuilt a pair of old Thetford valves), I’m happy with Valterra.

You will have to do one of two things. Either use a Thetford sized hose end or get an adapter.

I also have a 2004 Classic and this summer I decided to purchase the Rhino Extreme dump hose. It did NOT fit. I came to find out that I would need an adapter that is sold by the Airstream Store. It is inexpensive. I was told that AS units before like 2008 have a different size than the newer models which converted over to the industry standard. Call the Store or go online to get it.

You can also buy a Valterra pipe fitting, cut the old Thetford fitting off and glue on the Valterra. When we picked up our 2002 Classic (trading our 2001 Safari which had a Valterra valve added after the two original valves) I moved my Camco hoses over to it but discovered they didn't fit. The dealership didn't have the adapter, but a Camping World on our route had the end fitting. I stopped in a Home Depot and bought a Dremel Tool to cut the old fitting off and some glue to glue the new one on. I changed it in the parking lot, in the cold, in the rain; but we could dump on the way home.
