source for tanks?
Anyone know of a good place to buy new tanks of all kinds for our trailer? If you got new for yours, where'd you find them?
We live in Northern CA...

Inca Plastics in Ontario, CA and Ronco Plastics in Tustin, CA are two which come to mind.

I got mine from http://www.accutanks.com/rectangular.htm in Grants Pass, OR, just across the border. They are either a manufacturer for Ronco, or a distributor. The tank I got from them said Ronco on it.

Airstream Dreams used to have tanks. The original aluminum tanks are ade by Worthington. There is a Worthington depot in Tilbury, ON, but I don't know whether they sell tanks.

Airstream Dreams still does, and they are the Worthington tanks, but they have changed the name to www.vintagetrailersupply.com Their prices seem pretty reasonable. I ordered a 40#'er for a buddy of mine and it was here in less than a week.

I think...
Ingrid was talking mainly about fresh water and holding tanks.

Ingrid,
There is a fantastic tank manufacturer near Hollister. They make tanks per your measurements. I got all three of my tanks there, went and picked them up. PM me tomorrow, if you want. I can look up their number at teh office.

Well...eventually we'll need everything...but yes, right now we're looking at grey/black (does cheap or free have a color?) tanks to put under the floor (just like Uwe did). It means we'll lift up the floor we just put in, which should be OK because we never did bolt the frame down yet, thank goodness for small favors/procrastination.
Uwe; Hollister is doable for us, we could drive there if shipping costs trump gas prices. It's a toss-up on that (and I whenever I see gas prices I want to toss up). I"ll PM you tomorrow!

Well, it was 7 hours for me, one way. Simply because my tanks were too big for fedex or UPS. Truck lne was $$$$$ so I went on a road trip. I combined it with a little visit to some of my bay area musician friends..
