Siphon 360 vs Vacu Jet

I previously had the Vacu Jet on my black tank vent and would get a strong odor when flushing. The odor wasn't so much a sewage smell (although I imagine it stems from the sewage), but more of a potent foul knock you down smell. At any rate, I I installed the Siphon 360 with high hopes, but unfortunately have noticed no improvement.

When on the roof I could smell an odor out of both the vacujet and siphon 360, but it isn't even remotely close to the same intensity as the odor that will come out of the toilet when flushing. Maybe I have a partial clog?

Using a garden hose, with the help of my wife I poured water down the black tank vent and water can be heard running into the tank when the toilet valve is open, so it appears there are no major clogs in the vent.

Maybe I'm expecting too much from this Siphon 360, but the online video was pretty impressive.

Do you have vents running inside the trailer with no windows open when you flush? Particularly the bathroom vent. This will pull the smell into the trailer. Doesn't matter which roof vent cover you have.

Generally speaking, yes the powered overhead vent in the bathroom is running. But not always though, and in cases where it wasn't the siphon 360 didn't seem to make much difference.

I can see where the powered bath vent would overpower the draw of the non powered tank vent. Too bad the tank vent doesn't have a powered fan that kicks on in tandem with the powered bath vent.

Running the powered vent while flushing guarantees you will pull stink into the trailer.
