I use the Rhino in 15 foot length. I bought a Rhino 5 foot extension that is used as needed. The 15 takes care of most situations. I am very pleased with the setup.
I had a Rhino Extreme that I wasn't pleased with. Once you extended it, it would not compress again. I have heard that Camco has worked on the compression issue with their latest model.

Valterra Viper is a good hose, if you get one with fittings that don't leak. I ordered three from Amazon but two of them leaked and had to be sent back. The remaining functional hose is a very good quality product.

Another vote for the Rhino set here.

I can tell already that if taken care of they’ll last a while, (2yrs so far). Seems to me the fastest way to go through them is to abrade them - by dragging on concrete for example- careless handling by dealer employees has caused 99% of the wear on mine.
Misadventure from any number of comical mishaps the next enemy..

But treat them well just like your Airstream and you’re gonna get your money’s worth from them.

Valterra Black 20' kit

I bought the Valterra sewer hose kit in August 2018. Part #D04-0275.
Going by the reviews, I tested it with water first, to check for leaks. This one doesn't leak.
I've been a full-timer since 2004. I've mostly used the Camco Rhinoflex. The Valterra is similar. I prefer the Valterra hose fittings. The Valterra also compacts nicely, also similar to the Rhinoflex.
I paid $ 37.53 for the 20' kit.
I also prefer the black color with red fittings!

I have to second the Lippert Waste Master. I had AS change out the connection on the unit. Lippert has a cam connection. Never a question whether or not it is connected. The ribs are on the outside, the inside is smooth making clean up a breeze. It also has a shutoff at the sewer connection with a clear section so you can see when the tanks are running clear. It is expandable but there are extensions available and it fits in the bumper with the extension and the connectors. Really heavy duty.

Sure.
I made it from 5' of 1/2" PVC tubing, two "t's", 4 end caps, and a screw connection. So, one end unscrews, and the hose slides off.
I made it as small as I could.
I don't keep caps on the hose because that traps moisture inside.
I don't have a floppy hose in the bumper storage now.

Fifteen feet would be a good length.

I've never needed 20 feet, but I was testing the limits of the 10-foot-ish hose the last time I dumped.

I had the same problem with the Thetford Titan. (green/black). Overpriced, wouldn't collapse. I left it for a dump station someplace.

Thanks for the recommendation.

That looks like a strong candidate to replace the shorty hose I'm using now.

Comes in a 15-foot version, too.

Does the hose and its hardware fit in the bumper OK? How about in the storage tube under the trailer?

Question:
Does this hang below the belly pan?
I could see this working well with the threaded end being unhooked to swing down and easily removed for use.
Clever idea.

couple of questions

need to replace our sewer hoses, couple of questions
looking at the Rhino brand, are the fittings specific to the Airstream, i.e. do I have to order/buy either the Thetford of Valtera to work with our OEM fittings?
we store two sections of hose in the storage tube, which I assume to be 10' sections each, any issues with storing the Rhino products? I have read the fittings on the Rhino Extreme product needs to be reduced in order to fit, that is doable, just want to make sure they will compress enough to fit
Thanks
We have a 45 degree connector used at the valve that most likely is an adapter, if memory serves me, so assume any available hose set up will work. Just really need to find out if they will fit in the storage tube

I'm going on 17 years with my current heavy duty 20' sewer hose. Problem is I bought it so long ago, I really don't know what brand it is. However I think the biggest reason why this hose has lasted so long (outside of it is a heavy duty hose), is the fact that the hose is never on the ground when in use (other than at a dump station). I use this to support the hose at any full hookup site. I prevents the stone, rock and other sharp ground materials for damaging the hose itself. https://www.campingworld.com/slunky-...ports-carriers My advice is buy a good heavy duty hose, use a support device underneath. Carry a long enough hose to keep from over-stretching your hose. I carry a 20' hose and I've experienced some full hookup sites where the sewer dump sometimes is actually forward towards the front of the site, instead of back by the electric and water hookup.

No. But a great concept...except it would be pelted by road debris. I still keep them in the bumper storage, just compacted. (I say them, because I have two 10' sections. I normally just need one)

Still using the 2-year-old dealer gimmie.

Worked fine this weekend, but something about it is making me nervous ...

Where do you store the Lippert? Since it has the 90 degree elbow built in?

The Lippert will fit in the bumper. Even with the 90 elbow.

I use the thetford smart drain. It uses camlock fittings which I prefer. If you know how to use them then you never have a leak. I've used this for over 10 years and did replace one gasket other than that I really prefer it. You do need one adapter to connect it to the trailer though. The best part about this is it does fit in the PVC tube provided under the trailer.
