Recommendations for Grey and Black Tanks 63 Tradewind

This is my first post and I have been gleaning any info I can from the forums. I am in the process of a frame off rebuild of a 63 Tradewind. I have found a grey tank from VTS that will fit in the frame at 4 inches. Question One: Has anyone used this tank as a black water tank. Question Two: At 16 gal capacity are these enough for weekly use or should I go with deeper, below the belly pan, ABS tanks to increase capacity?

From what I've seen on the forum, there are some who opt for the thin tanks but a 16 gallon grey tank would be more of a novelty than practical. I'd recommend you take a look at Inca Plastics. On their website is a downloadable PDF catalog with many tank sizes. My plan is to have deep tanks and I've seen plenty of others do the same.

I installed a 16 gallon "shallow" tank and love the look of nothing hanging below the belly pan but no way it is adequate for more than a couple showers and washing some dishes. After that you need to empty it into a tote tank.
