problem installing the Sewer Solution

I purchased a Valterra Sewer Solution (based on positive reviews from a ton of folks in this community who've used it) -- however, I'm having problems installing it. The way you're supposed to put it on, the water in-flow valve is positioned at 3'oclock and the drain valve is at 6'oclock from the dump exit hole. However, I can't do that because my black tank release handle is in the way -- it's right where the in-flow valve is supposed to go at the 3'oclock position. Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea what I'm supposed to do? Thanks all!

I got an extension to use on mine with the sewer solution. That brought it out far enough to clear the handles. I got something like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/29764319?w...474872&veh=sem

problem installing the Sewer Solution

Get a clear straight extension. I had the same issue. Apparently got the same one.

Yeah, mine too. I basically have to take the hose off when I want to dump the gray water. If I remember correctly...

Absolutely rave reviews about the thing... I'm not one of them. I don't like having to use 7000 gallons of water to dump the tank and wait as long as you have to. Granted, I've never used my full size stinky slinky, just the short one to the portable tank.

Well, there are some things the Sewer Solution is not ideal for and one of them is standard issue dumping at a campground dump station. It takes a lot of water and takes a long time, which on a busy morning will not win you any popularity contests. I use your basic stinky slinky for that.

What it is great for is dumping your tanks into a sewer/septic clean out at home, especially if it is some distance from where the rig is parked (or mildly uphill).

The clear extension is handy but you will learn that tomato seeds are indigestible...

I agree with the above but I have zero success pumping up hill at all. Not one inch above the valve.

weird -- I've been at a few campgrounds with an incline and never had a pump uphill issue.
