Minuet Water Valves - What is What? Grey and Black

Have a new to me 77 minuet 6.0 and I can't quite figure out the plumbing. There are two valves in the rear - one on the left, and one towards the middle. I thought the left was grey and the middle was black water, but I'm really just guessing.

The one on the left doesn't function well. Needs a hammer tap to close and a pry bar to open. Either position doesn't stop water from draining. The one in the middle mostly (very slow drip) keep both water from the sink and toilet from draining out.

Is there an easy explanation for which one does what?
