Light stays on

On my control panel the 4/4 light on the waste tank stays on. It stays on even if I unplug all of the sensors from the tank. Anyone know where I should start troubleshooting this one. It has been like this since I got the trailer 2 years ago. I am in the process of replacing the bathroom floor and thought, this is the time to fix this problem but I cannot find anything wrong yet. This evening I am going to do a continunity check to make sure there are no shorts or opens in the wires from the tank to the control panel. The only other thing I can think of is, there is something wrong with the circuit board. What are the forum members thoughts on this problem?

Thanks
Mel

I found that my sensor wires were corroded and the insulation had worn away. They were touching each other. This was right where the wires come up through the floor from the tank to join into the harness inside the shell. I had the same reading problem.

My wires are fine in that area. With everything removed from the floor it is easy to see them. I an thinking of getting a mirror and flashliight and see if I can see the sensors from the commode opening. I can still easily remove the tank if need be. I do not think it is with the sensors though since it will light even if they are unplugged. That kind of points to something else.

It looks like there is something wrong with the circuit board. Will troubleshoot some more tonight. The 1/2 light works fine though.

We had the same problem with one of our indicators. I've not had the inclination to tackle it yet so I just ended up pulling the bulb loose to shut it off.

Maybe there's some old, ummm, "debris" stuck to the top of the tank?

Well, no, it stays on even if you unplug the sensors, though... I just thought the idea of a klingon was funny.

Poop humor - who knew!
