Angry Is there a standard size...for the waste outlet?

Is there a standard size for the waste outlet on my 79 Soverign (center bath)? I bought a replacement from Camper World that is too small in diameter for the bayonete lock to fit on the black water tank outlet. I don't remember having this problem on my 73 Ambassador, but it had a working sewer hose in good repair.

Is there an adaptor to fit the 3" sewer hoses, is there a valve hose adaptor greater than 3", or has this valve been modified on my 79?

Help, help, my cup runneth over.....

Skip.

The adapters you need, "must" be made by Thetford.

Any others will not fit.

We have all of them.

Here is the question.

Is the connection on the trailer white or black?

White requires a Thetford hose end, black requires a Valterra hose end. The colors will match. If the one on the trailer is black plastic then it has been changed from the standard Thetford that Airstream used on your vintage.

Local item

Skip, you can get that fitting at Wal-mart.

it is not uncommon. you will know that you are looking at it when you see a fitting that has both the male and the female adapter on it.

I bought mine at Walmart and it is black.

Oh, and it was not made by Thetford

And furthermore, I believe it fits your fitting, I mean literally

No need to pay shipping from Corona CA.

Valterra does make a black adapter. While I have the adapter for use with my FlushKing, I use the white Thetford terminal cap and greywater hose cap most of the time. The Camping World in Nashville, TN. has all the fittings as of several weeks ago but did not have them 3 years ago when I first started looking for them.

Wal-Mart

I went to Wal-Mart to get some SuperClean for the interior clean up.
I was amazed at what the had in the RV section. We have trailer inspection and a front relector was broken. I was told it was obselete, there it was on the wall. Reese hitches $100.00.
