How much black / grey is enough?

I am in the process of laying out a new frame for a 31' AS and have the opportunity to increase the size of the black water tank and add a grey water tank.

What is a 'Wish list' size tank for black / grey?

Thanks..

I would think that around thirty US gallons would be plenty for either, unless you plan to travel with elephants.

My TT has the gray tanks that were used for the first time that year: 10 US gallons. THAT is a joke.

We have a 25FB that has roughly 40/40/40 on the three tanks. We find that this has worked well in most situation. If you are planning to do a lot of camping with no hook-ups, a larger fresh water tank would be desirable.

Hi Darkspeed,
I added a 25 gal black tank and two 25 gal gray tanks. Most people will tell you 25 gallon black tank is enough. I thought that 50 gallons of gray was good for a long weekend without full hookups.

We have a 30 gallon fresh water tank, a 13 gallon black water tank and two gray tanks totaling about 22 gallons. We find this adequate for a three day boondocking weekend. We wouldn't want to hold any more wastewater for any longer because both start to stink after a couple of days in warm weather.

With two of us, black lasts nearly a week and gray lasts 4-5 days. Both tanks are 40 gallons. We run out of fresh in about 3 days.
If I were designing the ideal trailer it would have 40 gallons black, 50 gallons gray and 60 gallons fresh.
