Holding Tank Sensors

I have a 2004 Classic 31'. The auxillary holding tank shows full on the monitor inside the trailer. However, the tank has been emptied.

Apparently a sensor is stuck. Does anyone know where the tank sensor and sensor harness is located and how to get to it?

Anyone else had this problem?

Much has been discussed on this topic.

Try this:

http://www.airforums.com/forum...t=tank+sensors

or do a search "tank sensors"

The problem has yet to be resolved. Nut you are in good company!

After I sent the message I did research in the forums and found I am not alone. I apologize for sending the message before doing the research.

Interestingly, I have never had problems with the holding tank sensors. And this in a soon-to-be 20 year old coach. But apparently this is not the norm with the older system either. I have yet to hear of a holding tank sensor system that is truly reliable.

Ironically, the older system which was suppose to have the problems, worked better than the "new" system in that started in '04. My tank reads various levels depending on outdoor temp, etc.

Interestingly enough I have always had problems with sensors on every TT I owned (including my Safari) until I got the new Classic. We passed through an entire season so far with everything staying correct. So for all intents this is my first time to see everything working correctly.

My 2003 black water tank reads constantly full even after the tank has been flushed. I don't care too much since on the 25 I can simply look down the opened toilet and see the level. The black tank is big enough that it has never come close to being full. I'll get the dealer to look to it when I'm there for something else.

The gray sensor is working fairly well as is the fresh water sensor.

I really enjoy posts about sensors acting up since I have none.

I check the black tank by shining a flashlight down the toilet while holding the foot pedal down. But I have to be quick since I don't turn the water valve off - the turbulence makes the level easier to judge.

I go outside and lift the portable gray water tank to judge its level since I do not have one built in to my '67 Airstream.

The lower sight glass fitting on my fresh water tank froze & broke around 1972.

But with the problems you guys have, I have yet to experience sensor envy!
