Help on removing tank level monitor panel

I have a 30’ Excella 1994 model. I am trying to remove tank level monitoring panel that is mounted in range hood to replace fan switch. I have broken 2 tabs off back of panel and can see in but can’t figure out how to get panel loose without damaging panel any more. Any help appreciated.
