Gray tank vent

My previous post was not answered
1. How can vent become clogged if it has a screen on top?
2. How do you remove screen?

Post a pic of your vent and screen. Back in the day, there was a cast metal thing that surrounded the end of the pipe, and you would have to remove it in order to change gaskets, fix screens, etc....

I will get a photo tomorrow and attempt to post it. My vent caps are all plastic and appear to have several little tabs that must be pressed to release the cover and screen.
