Experience with a Thetford Recirculating Toilet?

Anybody have any experiance with a Thetford Eletra Magic Model 80 Recirculating Toilet? I'm restoring a 58 traveler and it has no holding tanks. This toilet seems like it would be perfect, self contained but yet able to dump, unlike a port-a-pottie. The tank is 6.2 gallons. I know this is small but I don't plan on boondocking. Mostly hookups. I can't figure any easy way to add a black tank. It is going to be hard enough adding a grey tank. Cost is about $600. I have one friend who has one in his tent trailer and he's happy. I'd just like more than one opinion.
Thanks in Advance

Don't have an experience myself, but there's a reference by member "pahaska" in the following thread...or you could contact him directly in a Personal Message and get his take on them:

Also you might do a search of "recirculating" and see what you can find out...

Good luck!

Had a recirculating Thetford on our houseboat for 27 years. It was on the boat when we bought it and it was still there when we sold the boat. It worked just fine, but I had a 100 gallon black water holding tank to dump it into when it began to smell. I wouldn't consider one without a place to dump, like a black water tank, and, if you have a black water tank you can use a real toilet.

Install a black water tank and a real toilet.

Do it right, you won't have to do it over.
