Cool Concave tanks

Got a look at my grey and black water tanks.

On both tanks, the bottom of the tank curves upwards and the top of the tank drops downward. Is this a problem? Does this reduce tank capacity? Any way to fix it?

Thanks for your help! Heinz

That curve usually takes place when the tanks were not used for an extended time, like a few years.

Within reason, that curve goes away as the tanks fill.

If yours will not do that, then the capacity is reduced.

If that's the case, replacement is the only fix.

Does that apply to the fresh water tank as well? We went boondocking last week for the first time. I filled the tank to the point that it overflowed. On the 2nd day of the trip the fresh water tank was in the "red". By the 3rd day it was flashing red. It is supposed to be a 30 gallon tank but I'm certain that the tank did not hold 30 gallons. I have one of those hose extenters that goes into the fresh water port and used it when I filled it. There was no sign of leaking water so I'm fairly certain the water backed up through the port before it was full. Has anyone else experienced this problem. jc
