Black Water valve replacement on a Bambi Sport
We have a 2014 22' Bambi Sport we bought used. The black water valve hasn't been right since we picked it up. This is our first trailer, so we know at least one thing to look for next time....
It leaks (a very small amount) when we take the cap off after a trip so we bought a new valve/gasket from amazon and went to work. We noticed that one of the gaskets was slightly crimped when we removed it (we figure that to be the source of the leak) - and now having worked on it we can see why. It is a very tight squeeze when trying to get the new valve assembly and gaskets in. Can't seem to get the gaskets to stay put and not crimp while we slide the new valve into place. Tried to push the pipe coming from the tank away from the valve but it is very, very difficult to get the room needed to passively seat it. Has anyone had this problem and is there a trick to making it work?
