Man, that's a bummer...
Really sorry your first post was because of a problem...
uh... well, when you pull over uneven surfaces, it is possible to 'drag' the understructure. (you already know that is 'bad'...... What shape are your axles in?
To check, look at the angle 'down' you see from the axle to the spindle...go ahead, peek underneath...
Now, how much 'load' do you have in the AS? Is it running 'level', nose up or down? If your 'nose'/bow is lower than 'level', it gives more rear clearance... just a bit.. but it will make the trailer towing uncomfortable....same with nose/bow to high...
AS you can see, there is no 'set' answer other than.."Know your towing environment."
Our 34' has a fairly 'low' ride... part of the reason AS are known for 'stability'... low center of gravity... but, you can't drag it places you can a 'toy hauler' without paying close attention to 'terrain'... Heck, I can't even get into many of the 'new' fuel stations because of the 'height' of the entrance....
Give us some pics of the AS, hooked up to the TV, on 'level' ground... and pics of the axle 'deflection'...
