Black Tank Handle Repair?

So my black tank handle broke off and this is what’s left. Is this an easy fix? My black tank valve is getting harder to open, so when I went to open it, BAM it smashed to bits. Thank you guys for any advice!

If the threads on the end of the rod are not damaged, you could screw another T handle on. If you want to replace the handle and rod as an assembly, you will need an access hole in your belly pan because you have to drill out a rivet that attaches the handle rod to the dump valve, then rivet the new one in place.

Given the age of your trailer and the fact the dump valve is hard to open, it may be time to consider replacing or rebuilding your dump valves.

I purchased an aluminum Valtera handle and a ¼" x20 4" stainless steel bolt (which was cut to length) for my gray water tank. There is also a black metal handle for the black water tank in this section of the web site.
