black tank flush fitting stripped

The plastic black tank flush fitting on the outside of my 2014 flying cloud has stripped making it very difficult to connect a hose. How do I replace it

are you talking about the handle you pull to actuate the valve or have the 'ears' broken off?

Wow, that's a tough one. How did that happen?

Cheap piece of plastic that can be easily cross threaded if the hose isn't attached perfectly straight.

Ah.. well, might be warranty... might..

On my AS, the black tank 'flush' is mounted to a plate. I removed the screws holding the connector then unscrewed the plate it was mounted to. The connector 'unscrewed' from the line going to the tank.

Reverse sequence to replace.

Also.... when you buy an inline filter for your 'city water' connection, it comes with a short hose with a spring on the outside so it is 'flexible' but doesn't kink. When you get a 'spare' you can put that on the backwash connection and leave there. Then connect to that ...when you are 'cleaning' the black tank. It will last a long time... just don't put it back on your 'city water' ... it would not be wise..

The advantage here, is that you only need be 'careful' when making the initial connection with the short extension ... then it will be easier to negotiate the connection...
