2016 22FB Black Tank Flush fitting
My wife and I purchased a 2016 Bambi 22FB back in October of 2018. I didn't test the black tank flush until our first on the road Glamping trip.
That's when I discovered that it didn't work. No water in whatsoever. I put it on my "to do in the future" list.
Today I was investigating under the closet and noticed the screwed-on panel on the aft side of the closet. Hmmm, wonder what's behind there? Turns out its the void between the closet and the bathroom which holds the vent stack for black and grey tanks and the black tank flush check valve.
Being mechanically minded, I decided to try and disassemble the connections to see if I could get it to work.
That's when I discovered the check valve (which is a 3" grey plastic pipe which screws into a metal (valve?) assembly was installed backwards! The check valve was preventing water getting to the black tank from the flush connection.
I reversed the check valve, added some Teflon tape, tested the connection and now it works!
