1966 Safari black tank remove/replace

Hello all,
Just poured water in tank to test and of course tank leaks. So, I can see on the Safari, the toilet sits on top on the floor and tank below the floor. So, can I assume that I need to drop the belly skin to access tank to drop and replace? Figured I better ask first. Thanks all!
