Tank Monitor Panel Reads E

I dropped the fresh water tank, to make some repairs, and I cut the blue wire, to the tank gage. I was very careful to mark the wires and when I reconnected them, the E on the panel stays illuminated, and when I press the level indicators on each tank, nothing happens. The battery level does work though.
