Replacement Tank Level System

All three (fresh, grey, black) tank level indicators on my 2011 FC 23FB have failed. Tried the system reset, nada. My dealer estimated >$800 to replace the entire system, mostly labor as it involves dropping the tanks. As these level indicators were never very accurate nor reliable, Im holding off pending more research.

It disappoints me that Airstream does not design better accessibility to parts that can be expected to require replacement.

Id appreciate input from anyone who has installed a better system.

Safe Travels,
JamuJoe

Had the same problem with our 2014. The existing system was the Micro Pulse and it never did work for us. (Bought AS used about a year ago). I've been in the process of changing over to the SeeLevel II system. I can attest that removing the pans is a challenging task if you've never done it before. Solo is worse! Having said all that, I've now got the black/grey tank pan back into place. Discovered a cracked fitting for the fresh water suction outlet and had to figure out how to repair rather than buy a new tank. (Google spin welding). Last step is to reinstall the fresh water tank and pan and test. $800 for someone else to do it seems reasonable unless that cost grows which it probably would. Anyway, my two cents :-)

Thanks for the detail, Peter. I think Ill defer replacement of my sensors until I can do it myself. Id like to create access to the sensors with cutouts in the trays, improve the insulation, add heat tape for freeze protection.
