prime water system?

Do you need to prime the water system to get it to work.
Pump seems to be OK. How do you prime the system to start
the system?

My tank is higher than my pump - I don't have to prime. How is yours oriented?

The only problem I've had in getting my water system to work is 1) not enough water in the tank; 2) sucking air from a leak between the tank and pump. Oh, I did have to replace a pump once that 'appeared' to be working fine.

If this is the first time since winterization, all the water may be going into the water heater. Six or ten gallons is a lot to fill, it takes a while, and the pump is working fine the whole time. My trailer flows hardly any water to the sinks at all until the heater tank fills

Templeton, between Paso Robles and Atascadero.
I have friends in Three Rivers.
