Low Water Pressure Weirdness...

HI,

I was hooked up at an RV park. Water flowed nicely! Cold snap came so it was unplugged so it wouldn't freeze. All stowed indoors/in truck and did not freeze.

Upon hooking up my Renata regulator read 80 psi so I dialed down to 50 psi and VERY weak at all faucets/ shower head. Cranked up to 60 psi and still crazy low....

Before I go too crazy does this sound like a bad regulator? I unhooked hose from AS and it regulates the steam of water fine. I dialed it to what looked acceptable and still low inside but you can't tell from looking. A few months back I replaced the Shure Flo inlet.

My system is sediment filter ->charcoal -> Renata regulator -> water softener -> AS

Thanks for any advice on where to start trouble shooting!

Trav

Trav, have you tried just connecting a hose from the source to the trailer’s inlet (bypassing your regulator, filter, softener)?

Airstreams come with an onboard water pressure regulator. Did you remove it when you replaced the Shure Flow inlet?

Just trying to eliminate the possibilities. Good luck!

Here because we have the same issue. We just had a cold snap with a couple of nights below freezing so before it came, as I always do in these situations, I disconnected the hose from the AS and put one of those large-type foam faucet protectors over the inlet, and took our water softener and filter inside the AS.

Today I reconnected and we have very low pressure inside when the pump is off.

A pressure gauge connected directly to the pedestal reads 50psi. Gauge connected to the end of the hose that goes into the AS (after filter + water softener) also reads 50psi.

I don't hear water running inside the AS or see any pouring out of the bottom, so I don't think anything is leaking.

Any ideas on next steps to troubleshoot/fix? Maybe the built-in regulator is stuck/damaged?
