One fitting where the valve was patched with JB Weld & is holding so far, but the other is dripping water. The pump is off & the hose is disconnected. I assumed it was water left in the line and let it drip all night and it has not stopped. Any ideas where this is coming from?

May I suggest a long term fix for you, Doug? I would look into installing the same threaded fittings that your pump has and then installing the same brass valves that the AF bypass kits use. That way your valves will be up in the heated area and only "empty" lines will run outside. Although installation in the space you have will be patience testing, the valves are very compact, require only 1/4 turn to open and will be easy to open and close in the tight quarters.

I noticed this year when I blew out the lines as I was winterizing that antifreeze came out. Apparently I forgot to open those drains when I dewinterized and I guess the RV antifreeze just sat in those low spots. Obviously we used and drank the water supply and had no taste or other ill effects. I wonder that if you use RV antifreeze when you winterize, it just might be better to not worry about opening those drains when you do your spring flush. It just might protect you if you get caught out in extreme temperatures.
