How to add chlorine to fresh water tank

ok, may be a silly question...
i see the sanitizing procedure in my manual for the 19' intl.
however, i can't find a cap on the top of the tank that would screw off to add this mixture.
i give up...what is the proper procedure?
thanks!

Honest questions are never silly -- Start with the fresh water tank about half full. Dilute the required amount of bleach (~1/4 cup per 15 gallon capacity) in at least a gallon of water and pour it into the fresh water tank inlet on the outside of your trailer using a funnel and plastic tubing. You could also use a funnel inserted into the end of a filler like these offered at Camping World, Water Tank Fillers - Product - Camping World.
Make sure you use the fresh tank filler, not the city water hookup. Finish filling the fresh tank with water, and then use your pump to distribute it throughout your lines. Let it set for a few hours, dump, rinse, dump, and rinse again. Hopefully that will do it.

Curious about the need to dilute the chlorine before adding to the tank.

When I do this, I go ahead and chlorinate the white hose as well. Pretty simple process: Pour the chlorine right down the hose; hook up the hose; fill the tank.

Cam,
Safety. You don't want to get 100% chlorine bleach on too many things. It may be too caustic for the potable water tank and fill hose in a concetrated form.
