Hot water tank

I have a slower flow from my hot water tank these days. I've cleared the little mesh where the main hook-up is, but is there also one on the hot water tank to clear?

try draining your hot water tank and flush it out. The drain is not at the bottom of the tank. If you make up a hose adapter with a piece of copper line on it and bend it so it reaches the bottom of the tank through the drain hole, you should be able to flush it. I had a lot of lime scale in mine and it made a difference. Also check the screens on the faucets. Mine needed cleaning. Of course they slow both hot and cold.

I have seen buildup in valves slow up flow. Be careful cranking on the valves ...but if they start to feel "crunch"... stop... you probably just found a contributing factor.
