Help!! Need access water pressure regulator

I have a 1998 Classic and I want to change the internal water pressure regulator. I bought a new one and I obviously know where the old one is. I have removed the four screws that hold it in place, but it is not coming forward to be able to unscrew the hose mounted to the back side of the regulator. There must be some trick to this deal. Any ideas?

Post a picture of your predicament.

BTW, most regulatators are adjustable. Your old one might work for you with a simple adjustment. We need a picture first, though.

Put A pressure regulator on the hose. The RV supiy house sell them for $10 or less. This way you have it all the time when you travel from campground to campground. I leave mine on the hose that I use for fresh water.

The ones for the hose protect it. Since they are cheap, I have always carried one even though the internal unit protected the trailer.

The problem is that I have very low water pressure when hooked up to the city water, and I was told that the internal pressure regulator needs to be replaced. I suppose there could be some other reason for the low pressure but for now I want to replace the internal PR. Thanks for the replies.

The park where I live has these on every lot placed there by the landlord. I have had that on clog twice over the years. Disassembly and a good cleaning resolved the problem without replacement. Doesn’t take long either. Might be worth a try. Good luck.
