front fresh water tank

has any one ever installed a 50 gallon fresh water tank above the floor under the couch ( were are recontructing our couch set up in the fron) and then put a holding tank in place where the fresh water used to be? we have a center bath soverign

That will be a lot of tongue weight. Might be difficult to counter balance with weight in the rear.....given the '70s history of rear sagging.

My 77 Argosy came from the factory with the water tank on top of the floor in the front. But the gray and black water tanks are in the rear for balance.

Kind of makes it a teeter-totter, doesn't it? As the front tank empties, the rear tanks fill.

That would be placing way to much weight on the A-frame, that will snap off in time.

30 gallons is the design limit, as per Airstream.

Water weighs about 8lb per gallon. 50 gal. of water is ALOT of weight up front. It's a lot of weight wherever you put it, so you need to plan accordingly.
