Angry Fresh Water Tank R & R

I have an 2009 25FB Classic that the fresh water tank is leaking and in need of replacement along with the pan. Any one has done this and could pass on any short cuts or don't do this, but do this. Thanks

Are you sure it is the tank. I had a leak on my 2002 Safari which was the line from the tank to the drain. Airstream of Chandler replaced the $10 line with 2 hours of labor. They cut an access hole in the pan to get to replace the hose.

Drain plug for fresh water tank

I have a 1993 21’ Sovereign. I was flushing all my lines and noticed water draining from the pan under the fresh water tank. When I opened the access panel I saw that the drain plug seems to have shrunk such that water is draining around it. The treads are full of Teflon and it still can be pulled out by hand. I have never seen anything like this before. Does anyone know the correct size for this plug and where I can purchase a replacement? Thanks, David

Yes the tank is leaking, I need to replace it cracked beyond repair. I have a new tank and pan on order from Mother Ship. Looking like I will need to rise the trailer up on a ramp so the tank/pan will clear the rear axle. Has anyone replaced their tank? Any words of wisdom for me? I live in AZ and taking Jetstreamer to Mother Ship is out of question.

I changed out my fresh water tank. Here are photos for you reviews. I put the trailer up on 2 ea 2x8x5' on top of 2 ea yellow pads. We had lots of room to lay under the pan and drop the assy. You can see I cut the fresh water pick up line and installed a shark bit fitting, I disconnected the fill line at the fill panel and then installed the line on the new tank and feed it up. After I installed the tank I found that you could reach the fill line on top of the tank before removing the tank. In the phots I show the low point drains and the cut out under the shower, also the ramp that I used to lift the trailer.
