Fresh Water Tank position in Flying Cloud 25FB Twin

Does anyone know where the fresh water tank is located in a FC 25FB Twin? I'm trying to figure out if a full fresh water tank adds to tongue weight (in front of trailer axle), reduces tongue weight (behind trailer axle) or has no impact (directly over axle). BTW I don't have the trailer.

My 2014 FC 25 FBT fresh water tank was mostly centered over the axles, but more on the passenger side of the trailer.

Thanks - if I remember my physics correctly then a full fresh water tank should add to the trailer weight but not the tongue weight. Was that your experience?

Are you wondering about a 2021 model?

https://www.airstream.com/wp-content...ers-Manual.pdf

Floor plans on p. 4-2 [PDF p. 26/112].

Fresh water tank details begin on p. 8-11 [PDF p. 77/112].

All the water tanks seem to be in the rear, but the language is not clear enough to confirm this 100% IMO.

FWIW our 2014 FC20 fresh water tank is in the rear, and it not only reduces tongue weight when full, but can lead to some sway issues in strong cross-winds [or semi-truck bow wave action], when the front of the trailer is lightly loaded IMO.

PS -- Welcome to the forum!

Your physics lesson may be correct, but with the distance from tongue to axle being greater will also make a difference.

Thanks. I did look at the manual and like you wrote it isn't clear to me exactly where they are relative to the axle. I have the same question into Airstream and the dealer where I ordered the trailer.

Yes, you are correct on all modern 25' models the fresh tank is centered between the axles and does not contribute to tongue weight. Side to side is not exactly centered so it will vary slightly from the FB vs. the RB models.

Mine seems to ride a little better with the fresh tank full, meaning things don't appear to bounce around quite as much. Pillows stay on the couch more often, etc.
