Fresh water tank drain
I thought that by now Airstream could have come up with a better way. My older trailer (1985) needed a new valve some years back and I struggled through it then. Luckily it had an access patch so I didn't need to cut one. But what a PITA is was to replace. My big hands just didn't make the job any easier but I did get it done. Now some years have passed and our current Airstream is 16 years newer and I'm working on a leak in the short hose between the tank and valve. I have a new valve to install while I'm at it for good measure. I had hoped that in the 16 years they would have made a better mousetrap but NOooooo. Same ole, same ole. Fortunately this one also had a access patch but installed with regular steel screws. Had to grind the heads off. Then had to fight with the clamps. One easy one not so. Oh well. I plan to attempt a modification that hopefully will make the job easier for the next attempt.
Boy I sure feel better now having vented.
ThanX all. Stay healthy and see ya on the road someday
