i just purchased a 2016 Flying Cloud 26 U. Is it recommended to have an water pressure regulator when hooking up to city water in a campground?

Thank you.

I think you'll find that the connection that the trailer already has is a pressure regulator. I carry one in case the camp has SERIOUS pressure then I connect it direct to the spigot to protect the hose.

Details in owners manual too.

Welcome to Airforums.

Agree, get the pressure regulator. I've been in 2 campgrounds that required them due to high psi from city (90+ psi).

I carry a couple... i forget to take mine during set down when I had a popup. There is a Army Corps of Engineer campground near Sequia National Park warns all campers to bring one. I would abide by that. as for other campgrounds, no I don't use water pressure regulator.

I do.
In theory, there's one built in just inside the water hookup.
I added one inline near the faucet to protect my hose, and just in case. My hose has become a science project.
I start with a "Y" on the bib to make connection easier, to quick disconnects on both legs, one having a cap so I can add a second hose for washing, etc. Then a regulator with a dial, then a short section for flex, a water filter, a Zero-G hose finally terminating at a quick disconnect at the RV.
The goal is to eliminate all the dribbles around the bib, and not need tools to connect.
