Everpure question

I have an EverPure water filter on my new Soverign. It uses a filter #QL2-WPS
same as QL3-WPS. I have never had one of these before. It has a seperate spikit on the sink.

1- Do I replace this filter every year?

2- How good does this unit filter.

It claims sediment, chlorine dirt tase contaminents. I have always used and external filter before water enters my Trailer, This is my new one, and I am assuming out side filter would be fine along with this.

We have one on our rig also...it's a charcoal type filter to get rid of the chlorine taste of most municipal water supplies. It also will trap any sediment.

We use an in-line filter when filling our tanks, and when hooked up...the everpure in the galley will trap any other stuff in your AS's system.

We use the everpure's water for our coffee maker, cooking, etc.

We have a longer everpure filter of the same type on an ice maker at home, and it lasts at least a year...the shorter version in our AS will probably last at least a year, if not more, due to the limited use...when you notice the water output being less than normal, change the cartridge.

The everpure is a popular filter...you can find them at many RV stores and the big box home improvement stores, Home Depot, Lowes, etc...probably also camping world...I got mine from a local RV dealer's store for about $30, as I recall.

I have the upper half of the filter under my sink. Recently I bought one on ebay, but it is just the outer case. When I open it, there is nothing inside. It is an inlet and an outlet in the top and nothing else. Can someone show me some pictures of what the insides look like? How the water flows in and out and the actual filter material. Thanks
