De-Winterization Problem (maybe)

Hello--I have not used my AS (Bambi Sport 16') since I winterized after a trip to Florida in January. I am boondocking for the first time in a few days. Not counting the water heater, I have two valves: one goes to drain out, one to the pump. I opened the drain out and hooked the hose up to the fresh water tank. Nothing went to the kitchen faucet or bathroom shower head; instead, the shower basin filled up with water.
Q1: How do I flush out the system (to remove pink stuff)?
Q2: How do I fill the fresh water tank?
Thanks, and sorry for newbie questions,
Elizabeth

I'm not familiar with the smaller Airstreams and I'm not sure I understand your questions.
TWO VALVES: Do you mean the low point drain valves? One is for hot water and the other for cold. If you open these you need to open the faucets so the pipes will drain. Unless you put antifreeze in the water heater, that valve should stay closed until you have all the pink stuff out. Otherwise, you'll have foamy hot water all summer.

DRAIN OUT: Again, I don't know what these are. Your fresh water tank is connected to a pump that pumps water from the tank to the sink(s). If you put the hose in the fresh water tank and filled it then you must turn on the pump at the panel in the kitchen to pump water out.

SHOWER BASIN: If your shower basin is filling with water from the floor drain then your gray water holding tank is full.

How long have you had your Airstream? Have you read the owner's manual? Just trying to know your level of understanding of the plumbing.
