City Water issues 1975 Sovereign

Hi gals and guys! I am a newbie, just bought a 1975 Sovereign rear bath model and am trying to learn everything about it, and think I might already be finding some issues. When I hooked up the city water the black and grey water dump valves were open and water started pouring out from under the dump pipe (the lid was on it) so I'm pretty sure there is a leak there. I closed them up and noticed the water pressure inside was still weak, went back to the hose and saw water was spraying everywhere. I can't see anything obviously wrong with the hose I'm using, maybe the coupling where it meets the trailer is broken, has anyone experienced that? Also, all the faucets work except the shower, is there an additional valve I might be missing whose sole responsibility is to supply water to the shower, perhaps if the water pump valve is shut off no water makes it to the shower?

I noticed that my furnace starts right up without needing a pilot to be lit, but it looks pretty new compared to everything else on the trail, it's a Suburban model. Do I need to light a pilot for the water heater and how do I do it? Also the valve for the water heater is so tightly shut i broke part of it off trying to open it with a vice grip. Any ideas there?

Also my ammeter stays at zero no matter what. I put in a battery which works when not attached to shore power but I can't find a switch off valve for when I'm connected to shore power?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance to anyone who can impart their knowledge!!

City water hook up coming out bottom of trailer from over flow

Does any know why when I turn city water on that it starts to flow out of the bottom of my 92 30' airstream trailer. I have water pressure coming out of sink but it's also coming out under trailer near the fresh water tank.
