Question City Water Inlet Argosy Motorhome

I have just purchased a 1978 Argosy 28 motorhome that has new plumbing that was done by previous owner. For whatever reason the city water line is not connected into the water system. There is a water line that comes from the fresh water tank and into the water pump. Would the city water line connect here also and would I just use a T fitting of some sort and if so how do I keep the water from backfilling into the tank? This is all new to me and I very much appreciate any help.

Hey Turk

You can tap city water into the system almost anywhere except between fresh tank and pump. The city inlet should have a backflow
preventer. Water pumps prevent city water from going the wrong direction and into the fresh tank. Dave

This makes sense...Thank you Dave.
If I understand correctly I would tap in after the water pump ( not the line coming in ). The city water pressure is all that's needed to run the water system.
