I need copper water pipe fittings, cap or coupling. Can't seem to find what I need at the local hardware places. Any suggestions on where I can find or order the correct parts?
I found that in repairing the copper plumbing in the Overlander and Sovereign ('72, '73), I could not use standard couplings to sweat to original copper.
I don't know if it expanded over time or never was the same diameter, so I used a plumbing tool known as a swage to enlarge the existing copper to accommodate the new stuff.
Here's a picture of one (being used for another application).

Thanks at this point we're willing to try anything!
I just went through something similar w/ my '74 Overlander. One of the copper pipes was thin-walled copper...comes in coils rather than straight lengths. It had froze & expanded. It wasn't big enough to accommodate normal 1/2" fittings (which are really looking to be fitted on to a pipe of 5/8" outer diameter). I visited my local plumbing supply store (specific to plumbing...not Lowe's or anything like that). They had enough copper such that their store was worth more than Fort Knox. Anyway, he ID'd the problem and just went through the stocks until he found the fittings I needed plus found a length of 1/2" copper that fit my expanded pipe just right. So, I cut the long length into short lengths and sweated them on to the expanded pipe. Now, I had true 1/2" copper pipe (actually 5/8" OD) that I could get my sharkbite connecters to grab onto so that I could install PEX to replace the copper section that had burst.
Pain in the butt. The problem was one of a few that prevented me from attending CBR with the WDCU this year. But, I learned a lot through the process.
