I’ve replaced my flow myself. It’s pretty straight forward, the difficult part is clamping the glycol and draining the remainder.
You need $100 in clamps from Amazon and the flow unit itself is $500 if I remember correctly plus it’s a good idea to buy more fluid at $50/gallon. I’d pay someone to get it done for $800 for sure.
Ultimately we ended up replacing our entire 3010 unit with the 3020 unit two months later with the guy in Lakeland. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable with AS Classics.
You’re in good hands with him down there! GL

Any reason why you later upgraded from the 3010 to the 3020?
If we had the time in FL I would have it done while we are here. We have had good heat and good hot water with our current Alde 3010. The Firefly was the quirky thing to learn.
Coming from an Allegro Bus with Aqua Hot, the Alde system is similar in operation…we had some level of how it worked.
Thanks again all!

What if...we got it right this time?
The new 3020 Flow tank is installed and so far, so good. There is no leak, the hot water is good and the shower boost is working well.
The install is not for the faint of heart. You are working in odd positions, its almost impossible to not get glycol on the floor. If we had to do it again we would buy the snap clamp pliers to make it easier.
We are back on the road…the most important thing…and ready to move on to the next challenge…and there will be one.
