I got it off and there was a blue plastic container inside. There was a bunch of black stuff inside the stainless part at the bottom. I cleaned that out. But there was blackish water inside the blue piece too. It had a hole on the top but I didn't know if this opens and if I'm supposed to clean the water out of this too?
Is there really no replacement filters?
Is it okay to use if it has the blackish liquid?
Any help is appreciated- thanks!

You have an Everpure 150 filter cartridge.
They can in time, fracture, which leaves the black stuff in the bottom of the cannister.
That black material is charcoal.
That filter is becoming harder to find, as well as more expensive.
Fortunately, we have found a good supplier for them.
