Zip-Dee Window Awnings

Been away for much too long, and away from my Airstream even longer. Found out this past week when I went to open my street-side window awning to find it would not budge.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried reading through some of the threads, and since I've never attempted any repairs to Awnings, most are of no help, since all use terms and parts that I have no clue where to look up.

I've been to the Airstream website to see if they didn't have anything there. Same situation. If you're knowledgeable with Zip-Dee terminology...says to spray Silicone, but without photos, I haven't any clue where to use Silicone.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.

Welcome back!

If your awning has the Z-Lock, it might be the problem. There is some good info here http://nebula.wsimg.com/9665206f9aa7...&alloworigin=1

There are more instructions and videos at the zipdee website.

I'm fuzzy on the details when I removed and repaired my street side window awning. I do recall that when I called ZipDee, they were very helpful and the fix was pretty simple.
