Zip dee uh oh

Noticed the wind picking up, went out to put the main front Zip Dee awning up, the wind caught it, lost it from my hand, and the next thing I know it’s flopping through the air then somehow rolls up into its casing. No obvious damage to the trailer. Tried to roll it back out to check it, but the notch loop is rolled up inside the casing somewhere. Tried to pull down from the bars, but that gets me nowhere. Any advice for getting this thing rolled back out?

I'm not sure, but you are smart not to try forcing it. I would probably reach out to Zip Dee to see if they had any ideas. Maybe there is some way to release the tension.

Never mind, I got it. Went out and pulled harder on the bar and got it to spin. No damage. Will leave this post up in case it happens to anyone else. Scary moment. Crazy wind right now in Western Colorado.
