I would like some info on how to attach a Zip Dee (cast aluminum) bracket used on individual window awnings.
This is the part that attaches to the trailer from the solid square aluminum bar that is also attached at the awning roller. On the trailer end there's the bracket with the square aluminum bar with a nut & bolt through it.
There's some kind of heavy duty rivets used on my '93. Is it just a huge pop rivet? Or is it a special one?
I bought a nice bike rack for the back of the trailer and want to attach the top part of the rack just below the rear window on the molding.
The other part of the rack will get through bolted to the bumper.
Screws into the trailer wall will probably loosen up, but the Zip Dee awnings never seem to have this problem, so I thought I would copy their attachment technique.
it is a big pop rivit. the awning isnt loades down with weight when moving down the road. i doubt this will do anything but make a big hole in your unit.
