Zip Dee relax awning and Connect system problems

I recently took my trailer to JC for warranty repairs and a few other things. I've told this story before, but I will tell it again. My wife was doing dishes with water in the sink and the whole sink dropped from under the countertop. The water splashed over the rear of the sink and onto the Czone controller and the zip Dee awning controller shorting them out. JC replaced both controllers.

When I went in to go over all the repairs, we put the awning out and back in and everything was fine. I did not check if it could do this with the connect app. When using the connect app, I can put the awning out (although the last two times I've tried, even that doesn't work) but cannot close the awning. The panel at the door works fine. The Czone panel also works fine although I have to hit the "close" button twice. It is only the app that has a problem.

If I try to close the awning with the app, I can hear a "click" under the wardrobe where the Czone switch is and maybe some relays. It has never closed once with the app. It also has stopped opening.

Any ideas?

I talked with Jason Kriezel and he hasn't a clue. He said the Czone controller for the awning is not programmable. The Czone panel is talking to the awning so why wouldn't the app that goes through the same panel do the same. I am awaiting a call from Dan at JC.

Tom, I've been having a similar problem with mine, that is when I can get my Airstream connect to work. I also have a problem using the fantastic fan remotely. Now I have something else happening. When it does connect it's showing that my shore power is not connected when clearly it is. Makes me wonder what else is not accurate on this app. All of this is very frustrating when when being able to use things remotely was a big part of the reason we bought a Classic.

My connect app has stopped working totally. It won't connect at all to the wifi modem. Very frustrating. I've already deleted the app and reinstalled the app several times. I've disconnected the modem several times. Still nothing.

The old standby: Reboot. Make sure all electrical power sources are off. If necessary, remove the negative cable from the batteries and disconnect solar. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect everything. First press the Relax Awning control to close then open to see if it will work normally. That has fixed a lot of electrical devices that were acting screwy.

My guess is that there is a software or firmware (in the CZone) version compatibility issue between the app and the CZone that was installed. See if you can determine version compatibility. Next the Czone software or firmware may be corrupted. See if you can get it reinstalled. Finally the communication cable or connectors between the CZone and the ZipDee controller could be weak. Thinking about it, I might check that before reloading software and firmware.
