Zip Dee Awnings

I have obtained some older Zip Dee hardware for the rear and 2 street side (left) awnings. I'm trying to install these on my 1974 31’ Excella 500.

I have 2 different style lower mounting brackets and 2 different style arms -- longer straight arms and shorter bent arms.

Could somebody help me with where the long arms and short arms go, and which mounting brackets are used and where are they are placed on this year model trailer?

Is there a "right" way, or is it just however you like it?

Thanks, I contacted Zip Dee but they only sent instructions for the patio awning.

I was hoping someone with a similar age and type AS could tell me if the rods used on the rear windows were longer than the ones used on the side windows.

I'm taking a guess here; I just installed a street side and rear awning on my AS. The bent arms were used on the street side with the shortest side of the bend up to follow the contour of the body. Straight arms were used on the rear. Keep in mind I was using late model hardware.

Little more detail. The lower hardware for the streetside was somewhat arrow shaped with the "point" pointed toward the front and rear for the left and right side (of the awning) respectively. The rear lower mounting hardware was somewhat oval shaped.

Another question. I have 2 different lenght arms. Are the arms used on the back window longer than the arms used on the side windows.

Just saw your post but the AS has gone to bed (down the street) so I can't check and I really don't know.

Arms are 24 3/4 " for their "047" window awning and 21 3/4 " for standard window awning... pn's 31100 and 31200 respectively , specify finish as a prefix to the numbers.

Thanks Greg. When you get a chance to see the AS again, can you check to see if the awning arms on the side windows are about 3 inches shorter than the awning arms on the rear. This is the way I think it goes, but just want to verify.

Zoom, appreciate the information but you are shooting over my head. Have no idea what an 047 awning is, but I will try to find out.
