Zip Dee Awning issue - separated from AS

My apologies if this is an old topic being revisited...

We have an automatic Zip Dee awning on our 2013 27FB AS. This past weekend, I pressed the open button for the awning, nothing happened. I pressed close and then open again and it started opening. I then started to walk away while it opened. Then I heard it start having trouble and popping. I immediately ran back, pressed close to stop it and noticed that both ends of the awning were pulled away from the AS and the middle of the awning was still flush against the trailer. Basically, it is no longer sealed/connected on either end and it would not open at all. It did allow me to close it, thank goodness. We now have to wait to get the AS into the dealership for service. 3 more trips left this year, I guess no shade or rain cover... Bummer.

Anyway, has anyone else experienced an issue like this? Anything I should take into consideration, suggestions or recommendations.

Thanks all for your time and support. Safe Travels~

Best Regards, Dana

Wow.. bummer! tough post #1 !

First.. do NOT use silicone..
Second... seal those holes in the roof with urethane sealant, NOT silicone.

Good luck!
